Shipping Policies for Orders and Returns

 

 Orders

We ship within Australia with Australia Post using No tracking envelopes for 1 meter or less if selected at checkout. Orders above 1 meter we use Flat Rate Satchels up to 5 kg in weight and depending on meterage, the checkout will select small, medium, large and extra large. These are tracked by Australia Post. Express shipping is an optional extra as well for the Flat Rate Satchels.

Our goal is to ship orders by the next morning they are received whenever possible. Sometimes delays might happen due to circumstances beyond our control with an email advising of any delays.

You will be advised when your order ships and a tracking number provided by email.

Shipping to New Zealand and other international destinations will be with Australia Post at their current international rates. For example 1kg ( 6m fabric) costs AUD $24.50 to New Zealand and AUD $37.80 to USA. Postage is calculated at checkout before finalising your order payment.

For orders over 5 kg ( approximately 30 meters fabric 110cm wide, 12 meters wide backing) please contact us by email and we will get a courier’s quote for you.

 

Returns

If for some reason you are not happy with your purchase please contact me and I will try to remedy the problem before you return the goods.  I am very reasonable and will address any problems as quickly as possible.

Please note, as batiks are hand produced some print or dye mismatch can occur. This is not considered faulty. If the mismatch is significant  a refund may be applicable. Also color differences caused by screens on devices are not considered faulty.  We work really hard to ensure as close a color match as possible. If this a problem, please ask for a photo to be sent to you prior to dispatch. 

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. 

 

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. As they will send it back to you.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

Any item not in its original condition,and is damaged or cut.

Any fabric that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

 

Refunds 

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, as fast as possible.

 

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Unless they are damaged.

 

Exchanges

We only exchange fabric items if they are defective or damaged. [print variance mistakes in batiks are not considered faults as they are hand made].  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at hello@batikfabrics.au and send your item to: 75 Ivanhoe Rd, Okeden QLD 4613. 

 

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they  will find out about your return.

 

Shipping

To return your product, you should mail your product to: 75 Ivanhoe Rd, Okeden , QLD 4613

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
